Bio

Harvard and Oxford educated, Roxane Zand DL, has had a longstanding career in the art world. She is an arts editor for the Ismaili Institute’s Encyclopaedia Islamica, and was for 15 years Sothebys Deputy Chairman for the Middle East. Currently she sits on a number of Boards, including the Arab Fund for Art and Culture (AFAC) and the Tate Modern Middle East Committee. She has authored several books, and frequently speaks on leading industry-related panels. She is also a regular lecturer at the Sothebys Institute of Art, and has curated a number of art exhibitions, most recently ‘Portrait of a Nation II’ organized by Abu Dhabi Music and Art Foundation. She was appointed as Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London in recognition for her contribution to the arts. 

She currently runs an independent Art Advisory service (ZandFineArts) that specializes in curatorial projects, strategy, acquisitions, and project management.
