China and the Islamic lands were not just bound by trade; their relationship unfolded through a dynamic web of ritual, technology, artistry, and imagination.

The latest exhibition, Art of Ancient Arabia: Heritage of our ancestors focuses on language and societal roles, through objects from pre-Islamic South Arabia.

Presented here are objects from the early Bronze Age in areas that emerged as Islamic; executed in cooperation with Kuwait University students.

Curated by participants in the DAI’s Children’s Art Workshop, this exhibition will be closing in February 2026.
