This season, our 30th, the DAI is celebrating three decades of inspiration and opportunity. A glimpse of this, the CS30 programme, confirms that the tradition continues.
Three new exhibitions will open this season, including one focused on Chinese art in the Islamic world. More than 20 lectures will be held this season, as well as 30+ concerts, 3 theatre productions, 2 festivals, 10 workshops for adults, and a host of activities for children.
Distant and Close: Chinese art in Kuwait, the new exhibition of art from China in The al-Sabah Collection, provided the inspiration for both the programme and calendar this season. According to Chinese Zodiac, 2026 is the Chinese Year of the Horse, specifically the Fire Horse. To honour our Chinese colleagues, several objects featuring horses in the exhibition have been chosen to be among the 13 works of art featured in CS30.
For years, the DAI has aspired to provide opportunities for engagement, entertainment and education. This season is no different: inspiration and opportunity abound for those who choose to celebrate with us.
